Six Facts You Never Knew About Boom Cards
What are Boom Cards?
Boom Cards are self-checking, digital task cards that run on web browsers such as Internet Explorer or Safari. They are a no-prep, paperless learning resource.
Why are Boom cards so great?
They are so cool because they are easy to assign to students, can be used on Google Classroom or Seesaw, and students can complete them at home or at school. You can also use or create them for any purpose.
Here are the Facts
Boom cards come in decks. Think of decks like slides in a PowerPoint Presentation. A deck can have 20 – 100 cards!
- Most of A Kinderteacher Life’s decks only have 15 – 30 cards.
- Every slide has audio directions.
- The slides are interactive. Students can
- Drag and drop the answer
- Type the answer
- Click the answer
- Students receive immediate feedback. After they submit their answer, they will know if they answered correctly or incorrectly.
- Students are given the opportunity correct their answer and pick a different one.
- You can utilize these games for any online learning platform such as Google Classroom, Seesaw, Canvas, Class Dojo, and much more!
- If you purchase the basic membership ($15 per year) you can assign students assignments and receive data on how well they answered the questions. This can also you to assign a small group of students an assignment and not the whole class.

Do you want Boom Cards?
If you want to assign Boom cards to students, track students’ progress or if you want to make them yourself, you will need to purchase an account. If you want them to just play, you can use a Fast Pin.
All you need to use Boom Cards is an Internet connection and web browser.
Students can play on their tablets, laptops, Chromebooks, or Smartboards.
You can purchase Boom cards from their website or Teachers Pay Teachers.

But what if I don’t want to track my students’ progress? You need a fast pin.
What’s a Fast Pin?

Just an FYI – Fast Pin allows students to play with the Boom cards without signing in. They just click the link and they’re in. For Hyperplay, they are going to have to sign in so you can track their progress.
Another FYI – Fast Pin links are only good for 14 days. You will have to generate a new link after that.
