Free Editable Monthly Class Calendars

Do you need a class calendar to keep your parents and students up-to-date with all school and classroom events? Keep reading and download the freebie!

Why give out a school calendar?

Every year, I make a class calendar. I like to keep parents in the loop about school and classroom events.

Our school sends home monthly newsletters but these newsletters include information that is not relevant to my primary parents. Also, there are activities and information that are pertinent to my classroom that I would like to share.

It only takes about 15 minutes to make a class calendar and another five minutes to print (if the copier isn’t broken!) So, it only takes about 20 minutes per month to keep my parents in the loop about what’s happening in our classroom. It’s definitely worth it!

I staple the calendar in my students’ take-home folders. This way, it won’t get lost or misplaced.

What do I write on the school calendar? I share when library books are due, what day students should wear tennis shoes for P.E., field trips, report card distribution and early dismissals day.

Here’s how I complete my class calendar:

Here’s an example of what the file will look like when you download it.
  1. First, I have a list of events, birthdays and other important information that I want to include already made. This way, I’m not wasting time gathering this information.
  2. Next, I write the dates in the hash signs (#). I delete the hash signs that I don’t need.
  3. Last, I write the events in the text boxes.
  4. Again, I delete the text boxes I don’t need.
  5. That’s it!

FYI – There are two versions of class calendars: one version is thematic and another version is non-thematic.

  1. I have tried for 3 days to get these calendars. I can’t find them and didn’t get them in the email. What am I doing wrong?
