Alphabet Puzzles FREEBIE

Free Alphabet Puzzles

Here is a free set of alphabet puzzles.

I’m getting ready for the new school year and I’m sure you are too! You are probably looking at the activities you have now and wondering if you want to use it again or toss it.  I don’t like using the same activities for the sake of it. I am always reflecting on the resource/activity I have and critically wonder if this is something that I can use again or wait and see if it is something my students would be interested in using.

Year after year, my students love alphabet puzzles! I try to create a new set or find new ones. So, here are some alphabet puzzles that you can download for free.

This is a simple activity and perfect for the beginning of the year! First, print, laminate, and cut out the puzzle pieces. Then, have students match the uppercase and lowercase letters and pictures. This is a perfect partner game to get students talking about letters and beginning sounds.

You may not want to put ALL of the puzzle pieces out (I certainly don’t). I found it to be less disorganized if I put 6 puzzles in a plastic bag (so you would need 4 plastic bags) and the students pick a bag to use. When they are done assembling the 6 puzzles, they clean up and pick another bag.
