Word Problems for the Fall (And Freebie!)

Here are some free word problems you can use in your classroom. I love these worksheets because students use multiple strategies to show how they solved subtraction and addition word problems.

These worksheets can be used to collect data to assess students’ strengths and weaknesses (you may notice that a student is strong in using a specific strategy and may need more instruction in how to use another).

Most of my kinder friends can’t read yet so the pictures help them get through some more complex words.

Each worksheet allows students to use a different strategy to use. The strategies included are drawing a picture, using a number line, acting it out, and using a ten frame.
